Jamie Gray
Interactive Graphic Designer
Jamie designs for print and web at Congruent Media. Visuals are his beat, so to speak. In his stead no surface--physical or digital--is left unimproved. Call-outs appear more fetching, navigations better-lit, and all buttons and widgets glow as if gilded and set with the tiniest, smoky jewels. With over a decade of working industry experience, a background in film, and time spent grueling under hot CRTs animating for a major motion picture, Jamie has well-earned the oft-desired and oft-hard-as-heck-to-get right to draw for a living.
Born and raised under the rustling grass roof of a tiki bar he helped his father build on a mysterious Southeastern island in Calvert County, Jamie put his busy, nimble hands to work at an early age strumming the electric guitar in the starlit cantina and sketching portraits of Garfield and Donkey Kong on the sun-blasted boardwalk for coconuts and tourist dollars. After a harrowing immigration to the mainland, Jamie has assimilated with ease and can typically be found nursing injuries at Fells Point ale houses after a long day out sporting with the BSSC (Baltimore Sports and Social Club) and SOBO (South Baltimore Sports) or weekend warrioring in full hog-nosed regalia before the mighty clashes of the Washington Redskins.
